Terms of service

Effective September 25, 2026

These terms apply when an organization and its users use Eventela. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organization you represent. Questions go to [email protected].

1. The service

Eventela helps organizations manage events, contacts, invitations, RSVPs, check-in and seating. We may improve, change or remove features over time. If we remove a feature your organization relies on, we will give reasonable notice.

2. Accounts

  • You must give accurate information and keep your password secure.
  • Organization admins decide who joins the organization and what role they have, and are responsible for their members’ use of the service.
  • Tell us right away at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

3. Your data

Your organization owns the contacts, events, replies and content it puts into Eventela. You give us permission to store and process that data only to provide the service to you. You can export or delete it while your account is active. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.

You are responsible for having the right to upload the contact information you store in Eventela and to contact those people.

4. Acceptable use and email

Eventela is for inviting and communicating with people who expect to hear from your organization. You agree that you will not:

  • Send unsolicited bulk email, or email people who have not agreed to hear from you or who have asked you to stop.
  • Use purchased, rented or scraped email lists.
  • Send misleading, fraudulent, harassing or unlawful content, or impersonate another person or organization.
  • Connect an email account you are not authorized to send from.
  • Try to access other organizations’ data, break the service’s security, or overload it.

You must follow the anti-spam and privacy laws that apply to your messages, such as CAN-SPAM in the United States. Your email provider’s own rules and sending limits also apply to email sent through accounts you connect. We may pause sending or suspend an account that breaks these rules or puts other users’ delivery at risk.

5. Connected accounts

When you connect a Google account or another mailbox, you authorize Eventela to send the emails you create from that account. You can disconnect at any time. You are responsible for the accounts you connect and for keeping their access valid.

6. Fees

If your organization’s plan has fees, they are set out in your agreement or order with us. Unless that agreement says otherwise, fees are not refundable.

7. Availability

We work to keep Eventela available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error free. Planned maintenance and events outside our control, including outages at our service providers or email providers, may affect the service.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using Eventela and ask us to close your organization’s account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after notice where reasonable. After an account closes, we delete its data as described in our privacy policy. You can ask for an export before closing.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Eventela is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount your organization paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Indemnity

Your organization agrees to cover claims brought against us that arise from the content it sends, the contact data it uploads, or its breach of these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and tell organization admins about significant changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in the State of New York.
